This dress is the only of its kind – handmade by Susan Ogg, (Wedding dress designer/dressmaker for over 30 years). She uses only fine fabrics – French lace, silk satin and silk organza purchased from Tessuti Fabrics.

I love that its a bit modest yet incredibly flattering (particularly if you’re a tad smaller on top than around the hips). It shows off the best areas and creates a beautiful silhouette. It’s supportive, so easy to move in, and feels so beautiful! In all my searching, I saw nothing else like it. I would love you to enjoy it too!

I’m so happy to send through any further photos. Feel free to send me a message!

Bodice: The bodice is French corded lace over ivory silk satin. The high neck elongates the torso and accentuates the shoulders. Susan was particular about creating a low back that still provides firm support to draw in the waist and support the bust so I didn’t need to wear a bra.

Skirt: The skirt is my favourite part. The base layer of bias-cut ivory silk drapes over the hips. Over this, pieces of the French corded lace have been hand-sewn onto a ¾-circle skirt of ivory silk organza. A split outer layer of silk organza then softens the lace layer.

The skirt appears simple at first, but as you walk, dance or catch the breeze, the outer layer opens to reveal the stunning lace detail beneath. It trails behind beautifully and, as it catches the light, shows a hint of your silk silhouette beneath the organza.

Bustle: The dress has both a bustle and a loop underneath the train. I held the loop to pick up the train during our photos. We then bustled the train up for the reception, so it was perfect for dancing!

Condition: Dry-cleaned and boxed in acid-free paper by Leon’s Fine Dry Cleaning, it is in beautiful condition.
The dress does require re-hemming (which I assume most brides will need to do for their height) and when it’s rehemmed, about 12cm will need to be taken off the end of the train due to 3 tears in the organza. Alternatively, you could add lace pieces to the organza train which cover the tears. I am able to supply a fair few off-cuts of the lace if you would like to do any alterations or use pieces for a flower girl dress.

I’m also happy to include the Cathedral length veil made by Susan Ogg.

Measurements: In Australia, I am generally a size 8-10 in tops and size 12 in pants. My bust is a 10C/12B. My height is 158cm and I wore 10cm heels. I was originally going to wear a bra, so the back is just high enough to cover a bra strap, but I found that it had plenty of secure support without.
